On December 20th 2017 Perth Pig Save (PPS) held their monthly slaughterhouse vigil in Wooroloo, Western Australia. It was during this vigil that a PPS organiser and owner of Greener Pastures Sanctuary spoke with the slaughterhouse manager and asked that, in the spirit of Christmas, he surrender a spent sow to us to live out her days safe and loved. To our surprise and absolute delight he agreed and in only a few short weeks, our beautiful mumma pig now named Carol, will be at her forever home.
